Katana - Purple Gale - SX105v custom blade

The Purple Gale katana is made from sx105v Japanese tool steel with a customized blade profile and bohi with excellent tachi kaze.  

Wrapped in purple, it has an iron tsuba depicting cherry blossoms blowing in the wind.

With an HRC of 58, it has the hardness to hold a sharp cutting edge; yet it can be bent to 70 degrees without deformation.  It has an impact resistance of 90 joules. This allows for repeated blows against harder targets.
